A little late...
...but better late than never. I completely missed my 1-year blogiversary back at the beginning of March. If I knew then where I was going to be (both in my life and with my knitting) one year later, I may have laughed.
On the moving front, I've got 8 days to clear out the townhome and do a light cleaning of the place. Yes, Mom, I know that I need to do more than a light cleaning of the bathroom and that will get a more complete one. So tomorrow/today (after I've slept in other words) I'm heading over there to pack up as much stuff as I can fit into my car and try to do at least two trips and get all the little stuff that's left over there.
If I've got time, I may also go to SoP just to get some away time for myself, but that probably won't happen. We'll just have to wait and see.
Phoebe is loving the new house and the fact that there are bunnies in the backyard. But those little cottontails are smart buggers. They know exactly how long Phoebe's tether is and sit about 4 feet beyond it just to torture her. I'm going to give them a surprise this weekend and let her out one time without the tether. See how the little fuzzballs deal with that!

it's not the temperature that causes felting, it's the CHANGE in temperature, and agitation. so, yes, hot water is fine, and hang it somewhere it won't make a mess, with a weight on the end. not everybody does the weight, but if your spinning is not completely balanced (doesn't twist back on itself), it helps to straighten that out.
and bunnies are smart that way, and exactly HOW much caffeine have you had this morning?

I think at that point I was at 4 cups of coffee (and I have big mugs for coffee) and a Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream (which is excellent). So I was a little buzzed and feeling the effects as I was typing.

hot water, agitation and soap causes felting, actually anything basic or alkaline. vinegar for dying won't cause felting
anyway, where are the spinning pics! i need roving porn!
also, what the hell is a dr pepper berries and cream? sounds intriguing

oh shit! i didn't know deb stoller was going to be there! why didn't any one tell me (insert whiney tone)?????
i'll see if i get prevto (i doubt vto would be an option, with all the new 7o'clockers). if i do, i'll be there!
and does the dr pepper berries & cream taste like DP at all? if so, never mind, i don't do ANY type of cola (except maybe a cherry coke on occasion)
i'm with jen, where's the spinning porn!

It has a DP initial taste, but then that goes away and there's almost a cream soda aftertaste. It's different.

And I was going to take some yarn/fiber pictures today and it ended up being overcast, so you'll just have to wait for Thursday
